"Caucasus Online" Presentation of DNSSEC Security Mechanism in the .GE Domain Zone

​On April 2, Caucasus Online organized a presentation dedicated to implementing DNSSEC in the .GE domain zone. During the event, attendees were introduced to the importance of DNSSEC and the possibilities of its implementation, which provides an additional layer of security for the domain system. Representatives from various sectors attended the presentation, including government agencies, banks, operators, e-commerce representatives including the eCommerce Association​ - Georgia.

DNSSEC is an important mechanism that protects domain infrastructure from cyber threats such as DNS spoofing and cache poisoning. The technology uses cryptographic signatures to confirm the authenticity and integrity of DNS data, significantly reducing the risk of redirecting users to malicious websites.

As the domain name industry grows, so does the importance of protecting the infrastructure that powers it. For security-conscious investors and domain portfolio managers, DNSSEC is now considered a necessary layer of protection and an integral part of a modern domain strategy.

The technology addresses one of the main weaknesses of the traditional DNS system: the insecurity of data transmission.
