The agreement envisions close collaboration between the two ecosystems, promoting knowledge exchange and supporting innovation-driven growth. The partnership covers key areas such as the development of digital payment solutions, facilitation of cross-border e-commerce, fintech innovation, and the sharing of regulatory and technological best practices. Both organizations emphasized the importance of integrated digital economies that can better support startups, growing companies, and established businesses across the South Caucasus technology landscape.
The Azerbaijan Fintech Association was established in December 2020 by six leading companies in the financial services sector. The cooperation will also contribute to the regional integration of the fintech and e-commerce sectors, improving digital trade processes and making innovative financial tools more accessible for businesses. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to accelerating the development of the digital economy and strengthening the innovation ecosystems of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
