On June 11, at the initiative of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency, an informational working meeting was held for member companies of the eCommerce Association of Georgia. The primary objective of the event was to raise awareness within the business sector about consumer rights protection and to strengthen cooperation with the private sector.

During the meeting, participants discussed important and timely issues related to consumer rights protection. Particular attention was given to challenges in e-commerce, product return policies, ensuring price transparency, preventing misleading practices toward consumers, unfair advertising practices, as well as service standards and warranty conditions.

The event was conducted in an interactive format, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of the regulations governing consumer rights protection, the Agency’s enforcement practices, and key legislative requirements relevant to businesses. The discussion session proved especially valuable for company representatives, who received comprehensive answers and practical recommendations on issues of particular importance to them.

Such meetings contribute to the adoption of consumer-centric approaches in the business environment, the effective implementation of legal requirements, and the development of constructive dialogue between the Agency and the business community.
