A two-day practical e-commerce training for women entrepreneurs was held in Batumi on 15–16 July, organized by Bank of Georgia, the eCommerce Association Georgia, and Swisscontact.

The joint programme aims to support women entrepreneurs living in the regions of Adjara and Kakheti in starting, developing, and expanding their online sales. As part of the programme, participants gained knowledge, practical skills, and relevant tools to help them effectively establish their businesses in the digital space and develop their online sales.

The two-day programme held in the Adjara region combined theoretical sessions, practical work, real-life examples, and interactive discussions. Participants were introduced to e-commerce business models, online sales strategies, digital marketing, effective mechanisms for customer engagement and communication, principles of online product presentation, and the opportunities offered by social commerce.

The programme also covered important practical issues related to running an online business, including tax and accounting requirements, digital advertising, and the effective use of online sales channels. Participants worked practically on their businesses’ online presence and learned how to use Bank of Georgia Business Ads Manager, including tools for creating and managing offers.

The second day of the training was dedicated to practical support and mentoring tailored to the individual needs of the participants. Based on their level of e-commerce experience, participants were divided into groups of beginner, active, and experienced entrepreneurs. Each group received relevant mentoring support aimed at creating, improving, or scaling online sales channels.

As part of the programme, a follow-up online meeting is also planned and will take place approximately 30 days after the completion of the training. The meeting will aim to assess participants’ progress, discuss existing challenges, and evaluate the impact of the programme.

As a result of the training, participants gained practical knowledge and skills that will help them develop their businesses online, effectively use digital marketing opportunities, and strengthen their activities in the field of e-commerce.
